2nd Annual Florida Insurance Trust Educational Retreat Celebration, Education & Recreation
Mr. Shane Caldwell, CEO/President of AIGI, addressed this year’s attendees of the FIT Educational Retreat encouraging members to be the catalyst of growth for the Trust. Existing members benefit directly from participation of new members by minimizing premiums and risk retention.
“FIT’s best marketing is through word of mouth by our existing members. If you are pleased with the products and services of FIT, please tell your associates. If you are not pleased tell us!” stated Mr. Shane Caldwell.
Mr. Caldwell shared key points that one should know about the Florida Insurance Trust:
- FIT is governed by a Board of Director’s who are members of the trust
- FIT is regulated by the Officer of Insurance Regulations
- Submits Independently Audited Financials Annually
- Submits Independent Actuarial Reports Annually
- FIT purchases Excess Insurance Policies from authorized insurers who list every member as a named insured
- FIT Retains no risk on Property, Liability, Auto or D&O coverages with very low retention on Workers’ Compensation.
Finally, Mr. Caldwell presented the current financial strength and stability of the Florida Insurance Trust projecting a continued growth in FIT’s Cumulative Surplus for this current fiscal year. Overall, it is an exciting time to be a member of FIT as new products and services are being created to meet the individualized needs of Florida’s nonprofits.
