Despite Current Market, F.I.T. Offers Affordable Insurance Coverage to Florida’s Social Services Agencies
Orlando, FL, April 12, 2011 - The Board of Directors and Administrator for the Florida Insurance Trust (F.I.T.) announced today that F.I.T. has secured significant additional capacity to write business for all lines of coverage, including property, general liability, professional liability, automobile and workers compensation. The Trust entered into new agreements with multiple “A” rated insurance companies, including Liberty Mutual, Lloyds of London and RSUI Insurance. These agreements have dramatically increased the Trust’s capacity to add new members in all geographic areas of Florida.
Joe Aniello, the Trust Chairman and CEO of UCP of South Florida, commented, “Recent global catastrophes have resulted in substantially higher insurance costs and limited availability of coverage for Florida’s social services agencies. These insurance increases could not have come at a worse time. Furthermore, the state of Florida recently announced a dramatic cut in the funding for many social services agencies. It is for times like these that F.I.T. was formed four years ago.“
