Jonathan Rivera has been a vital part of Ballator Insurance Group since March 2011. Before joining Ballator, he gained valuable experience at a large national brokerage firm for two years. Starting his journey at Ballator as a program underwriter for several self-insurance pool clients, Jonathan has since evolved into a full program administrator. His responsibilities now encompass excess and reinsurance placements, premium allocation, marketing and retention, among other duties.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University. His expertise lies in retail and sales, reinsurance brokerage, and placements, with a particular focus on large catastrophe property schedules. Outside of his professional life, Jonathan enjoys being a dedicated father to his three children. He is passionate about Florida State and Tampa Bay football, golf, CrossFit, and boating.
Guided by the principle of doing right by clients and carriers, Jonathan believes that setting clear expectations, especially regarding bad news, ensures everything else falls into place.
